This is Me

This is a blog about my thoughts on the world, which mostly revolve around being an entrepreneur (and trying to actually make money at it), because that’s the main plot-arch in my life at the moment.

Hi there! My name is Megan, and the basic facts about me are:

  • I’m in my mid-twenties (this way I don’t have to update my age next year. ;D)
  • Most of the time I’m cheerful, outgoing, enthusiastic, and ready to take on the world
  • Every so often I’m a big, sorry lump of blah (But then, who isn’t?)
  • My purpose in life is to help people succeed in what they want to do
  • I’m (recently) married and we plan to start having kids in the near-ish future
  • I’m a self-proclaimed beer snob
  • I love cheese but am lactose intolerant
  • I’m an avid movie-person
  • I read like it’s going out of style; the library is my favorite place to go

Oh yes, and I want to own my own business. Online, off-line, in outer-space, I don’t care. My goal is to have a means of generating income that is all mine. Of course, I’m not sure what I want to do, but I’m working on that part. Help people. That’s what I’ve got so far.

So, that’s why I’m here. I’m sharing my journey from where I am now (physically: Michigan, financially: in debt, mentally: unsure what’s next, trying to find my passion) to where I want to be (physically: Colorado, financially: out of debt and on my way to financial independence, mentally: passionate and excited about my work each day).

You’re gonna get it all: The ups, the downs, the set-backs, the leaps-forward, the everything. Because there’s a long, twisty, winding road between wanting to achieve something, and actually getting there.

Why are you here? Well, I want to share my journey because when I look out into the wide world, most of what I see are people who are already successful. Who’ve made it. Who have what I want. But it seems like there’s a wide gap between where they are, and where I am. I’m writing this blog for others like me out there who have entrepreneurial aspirations, but feel like they’ll never get there, or that they’re the only one who’s still trying.

Well, I’m still trying, and I plan to get there, no matter what. Join me, and we can help each other along the way.

And remember: “Never miss an opportunity to be fabulous.” ~ Tina Seelig
